Oh the irony,
I'm not supposed to be writing in this blog at the moment seeing i'm not zu Hause, but I just found my last comment in my last blog entry too funny. So much for writing more often. I return to Australia on the 22nd of February 2007. A new entry on this site will follow shortly thereafter.

Adelheidis
Did you know that the names Adelaide and Alice both come from the same German root name meaning nobility? It's true, and a good way to enter into telling you all that I've just got back from Adelaide.
I went last Wednesday and came back on Monday night. My oldest sister and her son live in Paralowie so I caught up with them on Australia day. I hadn't seen Robert since he was a baby (he'll be ten in a few months), or Kristy since the same visit, so it was really good to catch up.
Amongst other things I went out on the tram to Glenelg and had a look around the city, and I took the bus out to Hahndorf and once again had a look around (they have awesome german style bakeries out there).
I think the highlight of the trip was a tour with the Groovy Grape tour company to the Barossa Valley. We went to the worlds largest rocking horse (what's with Australia and big things seriously...), the whispering wall, 4 wineries for tastings (yes I bought wine) and we also visited Tanunda on the way home. Tanunda is the largest town in the area, but is still tiny.
The last two days I spent in Hillcrest visiting my friend Lora from high school. She has two adorable cats. We didn't really do much, just sat around chatting and watching movies, a perfect catch up. If i ever figure out how to put pictures on here I will post some photos for you.
Oh yeah, I was supposed to tell you about Jules' birthday, nothing too eventful, he was sharing the party with his seven year old nephew, but still lots of fun. Jules' family are quite stereotypical asians in that they love kareoke and have a machine, so we ended up in a big singalong.
Um. I can't think of anything else, this will do for now.

Heeere fishy fishy fishy!
I have more fish!!!! Not too exciting to most people, but very exciting to me. Shall update you all on everything else in my world soon, I just had to tell you about the fishes. (yes Lionel, fishes is a real word. It tends to refer to a range of fish varieties, but I'm using it a little innapropriately here.)

As promised...
Yep, It's another entry, you're not seeing things.
Hmm, what have I been doing?
My parents went to Fiji for a week, and then after staying at home all of two nights they shot off to Sydney with my Grandma. So I've been living with my sister. She's your pretty typical nurse, hardly ever here thanks to shift work, but incredibly bossy when she is. Don't get me wrong, we get along quite well, and I really do love her, but i'm also looking forward to her moving out.
I went out with Ali for new years. First we went to Tom's house in Carlton (after a scrumptious dinner at the royal oak hotel), and then at around ten we headed off to Bentleigh for Lachlan and Carla's house. At midnight Lachlan called Lionel, cos he had some deal where he could do so for free, but I didn't really talk that much to him as we'd spent a fair while on google talk that morning. At about 2.30 we left and caught the train back to Frankston to spend the rest of the night (morning) at Ali's house. Good night all round really. Oh, you'll appreciate this (though Lionel probably won't appreciate me putting it on here), Lionel sent a message meant for me to his dad, nothing too embarrasing, but apparently they aren't supposed to know about me (even though they do anyway). I got a frantic message at about 10am cos he was freaking out... Silly boy.
I had the girls over last weekend, we had a fantastic chick flick night, which had to be extended onto the next wednesday as well. We didn't realise just how long the BBC Pride and Prejudice really is, and that was only one of 5 films we had hired. Mmmm, Mr Darcy is so hot....
Hmm, what else?
I've got approval from the Education faculty for my planned course in Berlin, and I'm going up to Clayton tomorrow for the Arts faculty. I also have to figure out a clash problem I'm having. One of my education subjects at Peninsula finishes about two minutes before I have to be in Clayton for my german tute. I've applied for advanced standing, to see if developmental psych which I did last year can count as child development (the clashing subject), but this would mean i have to find another arts subject to do which will fit into my timetable, and I don't know when one of my subjects will be on yet in order to fit said new subject around it.
That'll do for now, I'll tell you all about Jules' 21st next time around.
For his adventures just be sure and stay tuned to this station...
Mwah!
